TRITC葡聚糖作为荧光示踪化合物用于心血管、微循环、灌注、细胞单层培养和细胞膜通透性的研究,支持血流、膜损伤、血管引流等过程的测量。它还可用于利用微荧光法进行微循环和细胞通透性研究,并可用于动物的灌注研究。TRITC葡聚糖也被用来研究植物细胞壁的孔隙率和毛细血管的渗透性。血浆蛋白已被证明不与TRITC葡聚糖结合。小分子的TRITC葡聚糖还常被用来测量细胞内吞和细胞连接通透性等过程。20kDa的TRITC葡聚糖可用于研究细胞过程(如内吞作用和渗透作用)、内皮或上皮单层孔隙率、细胞层内的顶端基底外侧运动、细胞连接通透性和药物从结构(如水凝胶和胶原微棒)中的释放。
