Alpha Fluor 488羟胺与AlexaFluor®488羟胺相同,具有更高的纯度。 荧光染料酰肼和羟胺是可用于向含有醛或酮的生物分子添加荧光标记的反应性分子。 可以通过高碘酸盐介导的邻位二醇氧化将醛和酮引入多糖和糖蛋白中。 半乳糖氧化酶也可用于将糖蛋白的末端半乳糖残基氧化成醛。 羟胺衍生物(氨氧基化合物)与醛和酮反应生成肟。 就水解稳定性而言,肟优于腙。 哌嗪和肟都可以用硼氢化钠(NaBH 4)还原,以进一步提高连接的稳定性。 此外,荧光染料酰肼和羟胺可用作低分子量,膜不渗透,醛固定的细胞示踪剂。
