Alpha Fluor 546酸与AlexaFluor®546酸是同一分子（AlexaFluor®是ThermoFisher的商标）。它是一种亮红色荧光染料，最适合与546 nm处的黄色激光线一起使用。Alpha Fluor 546染料是水溶性的，从pH 4到pH 10都不对pH敏感。AlphaFluor 546是最经济的胺反应型，可将AlexaFluor®546荧光团缀合到肽上。
